Remembering Easter Island
I went to the Easter Island in 2013, at a time when my life was going through big changes (graduating from grad school, and moving from the US back to Europe for my first full-time job). My most vivid memory of the island is a brief blackout that took place one of the nights that I was there. With no artificial lights as far as the eye could see, the sky was the most amazing sight. I could not recognize any of it, because this was the first time I really looked at the night sky in southern hemisphere, but that only contributed to the almost overwhelming sense of wonder.
Materials: Watercolor on Paper
Dimensions: 31 x 22.9 cm

About the Artist
Olga is a painter who draws inspiration from the fantastical worlds living inside her head: whether it is a parallel universe where the sapient life descended from dinosaurs rather than apes, or a land inhabited by mischievous lemurs, each artwork's characters come with their own story to tell.
Olga lives and works in her home in Paris, France that she shares with two furry assistants, of feline and canine variety.
